The sun sets and darkness thrives,
Without rain there won’t be a rainbow.
Every death accommodates new life,
Mistakes are needed for lessons to follow.
The end is always a new beginning,
A start succeeds a completed ending.
Sickness creates appreciation of health,
Beyond luxury, it’s surely the ultimate wealth.
Exhaustion of body instils humility,
Of Man’s weakness and need of rest.
No true friendship without vulnerability,
And no reward without some test.
If lost you will eventually be found,
Why call it failure if it strengthens?
Lack of understanding and you will frown,
The journey for knowledge only lengthens.
Don’t just call it difficulty,
You can also say ‘a new opportunity’.
No goodbye without memories,
And no hello without opportunities.
Feeling pain can make you cry,
Feeling loved makes you happy.
Tears of sadness will eventually dry,
End of each laughter is a surge of reality.
At the lowest it can only get better,
At the highest it won’t last forever.
No food to eat and you’re hungry,
Too much and your head becomes giddy.
Little leisure and you feel stressed,
Too relaxed feels quite guilty.
But the body needs adequate rest,
To maximise its every ability.
On a race run fast,
But on a road drive slow.
If it’s painful then forget the past,
But remember it made you grow.
Few friends and you are lonely,
Too many and they become platonic.
Praise someone and praise gently,
Praise too much and it gets ironic.
Flocking theatres to be sad and scared,
Idolise strangers you’ve never met.
Celebrate birthdays as death draws near,
An inevitable destiny we should not forget.
Not too much and not too little,
Like the sunset it dims and brightens.
Be delicate in facing each battle,
For the world needs maintaining balance.
